25ish

OK OK so I did not turn 25 today....I turned the big 2-7. That's 27 when you put it together. I know it's not a big milestone but its alot closer to 30 then I have been in the last few years. Today we went to the winery for a little birthday celebration (surprised?)

happy birthday to me! thanks family :)

In the next year I have a few goalsssss

1. Get my personal training certificate and work on myself as well- eating clean is something I read about all of the time but I want to make it the bigger percentage of my diet. Wine is clean, btdubs.
2. Keep my sense of "everything in moderation" as well as eating clean. Because the taco dip that the winery had is something no one should ever give up eating. While this isn't really a goal I will add drink more water. Pretty simple, right?
3. Take some photography classes.
4. Speaking of classes, I want to buckle down and at least get my associates degree. Hi see age above.
5. Learn to be a better cook (I've been using the crock pot as my crutch but I even burned a meal in that last week, yiiikes).

this was the view leaving the winery.... gorgeous day!

We'll stop at 5 because I'm already getting overwhelmed with the expectations for myself!
OH and I really am going to try and blog more!

Thank you to my family and friends who made this day special for me!

oh...and to Google too? When I scrolled over it, it says, "Happy Birthday Sarah!"
I'm kind of a big deal.

Craft Lady

Oh man, guys. Since my sisters and I made that wreath last weekend, I've become obsessed with finding other DIY projects. It's pretty bad. I can't stop. Won't stop..... (is that song in your head now?)

Well, sharing is caring :-)
So, I'm going to share some of the projects I really want to do. Youuuur welcommmme.
If you do them before me, let me know how it went and email me a picture! Especially if it's a disaster.

Hi my name is Sarah. And I'm a pumpkinholic.
OK, there you have it. Ten things I need to do a-sap. I was going to stop at 7, but why not go for three more? I did that for you! I'm going to have to give a shout out to a few blogs that I've been obsessing devouring looking at, and where these projects came from. Thank you for being the DIY Masters!

Martha who???

Hey girl heyyyyy

OK first things first. I'm sitting her watching "Bachelor Pad" one of the final shows and I realized that I've been recording this show and it has "mysteriously disappeared" off my list. Mmmhmm. I'm lost but moving on.

Anyway.

I said we had some plans for Saturday and I have some pics to prove it! (Ok alot of pics to prove it...)
In the early afternoon we went to a Safety event at one of the nearby elementary schools. It was alot of fun! The K9 unit was there, fire trucks, police, "hofficers", command center (my personal favorite), and Nate also got his ID and fingerprint taken.

Afterwards my sisters and I went crazy got our supplies from Hobby Lobby to make our new fall wreath! Thank you for the tutorial the girl in the red shoes! Click that link for materials needed/proper tutorial.

Paint your letters first

Definitely do the moss outside!! It's messy

Fill in your moss, hot glue it to the wreath

Refill your wine Place your decorations

You have to get creative with some of the letters. For "L" we hot glued the end of the burlap to the top of the letter and knotted it at top. Bows were done separately and hot glued.

For the M we glued just glued the letter to the wreath, the size was perfect

Loving the start to my fall front porch!!

Sunday, Ava turned FOUR months!!!
LOVE these tutu pants
AND she tried rice cereal for the first time, and looooved ittttt
Mom this is some good ish!

And here's a smile to start your week off with

Slacker

I wish instead I could title this post, "overachiever", but that would be a lie. I didn't even look into how to do a "link up" for my Fall into Fitness idea. Hopefully no one steals that amazingness. I have a list of things I can blog about but those things I mentioned in my "motivation" post actually DID happen (cleaning, cooking, exercising, ect.) so I can't say I've been a complete slacker! BUT today some things are going to go down (remember that wine/wreath thing I talked about mmhmm) and I'll talk about them tomorrow...or Monday...or next Thursday. Just kidding (I think), I hope to be more on top of this blogish next week. Enjoy the first official football weekend! Here's Ava sporting her Giants gear on Wednesday, even though they lost. Yes, I can own it. I can also own the fact that the refs should stick with teaching 8th grade geography ;-)

Cutest fanbaby ever. I know.

Motivation, are you there? It's me, Sarah.

I need some serious motivation today!!! I just don't have it in me. "It" being cleaning, eating right, exercising, everything really! I blame the rain. For the THIRD DAY in a row. Damn you Isaac! It might also have to do something with this whole weekend being a food exercise bust!  Isn't it so true that it's not so easy to get on a roll with a healthy lifestyle but soo quick to revert back?

And that's coming from someone who has a goal of being a fitness professional! Yikes! But, I'm being real. And that's what real people go through. Except Shaun T. He probably hasn't gone through that since his fat college days. I can't even give you an Insanity update because I have to start week three again. (Should I just restart all together??)

The good news is that no more all weekend events should be taking place anytime soon so I can fall back into my healthy routine. Get it? Fall season...Fall into Fitness... I think I'm onto something here. Maybe I'll learn how to do a linkup and you guys can fall with me. Ok motivation is starting to brew. Speaking of brew I'm going to finish my third cup of coffee and make a to do list. The same cup of coffee that my son dunked his dinosaur in to. Oh my life.

Party 2 of 2

We received this beauty on Sunday morning...

Yup, that's right. An 18 foot waterslide for our backyard! Because that's normal. Every year we have a Labor Day party at our house. We live on a main road and the Labor Day parade passes our house. Parade=Party. There's alot of prepration and cleanup. But it really is all worth it because so many of our friends and family come and they all have a blast. And you can't really have a bad time anytime there's a gigantic water slide involved. I may or may not of gone down that bad boy at 1am. I'm pretty sure that this will be a staple at our party from here on out. Big fan.

I'm also a fan of the massage train I rode.

sorry you were the caboos Bri!

I think we could've done without the RAIN for a second year in a row!!!  But we made the best of it. Tents, hoodies and if course, rainboots.
rainboots & rally
Nate was SO excited when the slide arrived! He was trying to get Ava just as pumped as he was:

Ava was unphased by the sirens and loud noises...

You would think she'd had enough after big brothers bday party

but nope she was  just chillin the a villian the whole day after her 3 hour nap! (and of course the 20 breathing checks I did)

I don't even want to talk about the poor picture quality courtesy of my old crapberry. (my birthday is coming up. and a phone upgrade. just saying. iphone.)

OK now for two really random things. I wanted to get a start on my picture wall before the party. This is what me and my sister came up with:

Thoughts? It's nothing compared to what I've seen but it's a start! My sister was such a big help. Definitely going to be adding to it and probably rearranging too!

And the other random thing is this ecard. It seriously cracks me up...

Alrighty well that's all I have for you today! But I made up for not posting in a week with TWO posts of the awesomeness that is my life....ha!
