Sandy update...

Hello!!
Still without power but thankfully living off a generator at my mils and showers at good friends houses! We are living pretty well compared to some friends and family in NJ that lost more than power :-(

Here are some pics to show what we've been up to!

I still haven't figured out the blogger app on the iPhone so I can't explain each picture... Use your imagination Fresh Prince of Belair is on and Will never disappoints! (I need to take all of the entertainment that I can) Oh and Happy Halloween even though technically it's NOVEMBER 1st! Blame Sandy.

My week summed up by Someecards

I love me someecards. I always have. Way before they flooded our Facebook wall.

 

It's been a rough mommy week for me. Matt was on night shift and I think that throws everyone off. The kiddos have just been difficult all week, simple as that!

 

So this has been my week summed up by someecards:

 

 

While researching what to put on a resume for a stay-at-home mom, I came across some really rude comments made by people. I guess you just don't fully understand until you're in that position.

 

 

This is Nate. He obviously feels that his need for naps, and my need for him to take naps, doesn't really matter.

 

 

This is true every week.

 

 

What? I like it.

Me.

 

 

 

I'm not trying to be a "one-upper" but...its the real deal.

Siblings

One of the best things about being home is watching Nate and Ava's relationship develop.
Nate has become such a sweet brother.
Loves giving her super hugs, the pacifier and blanket.
On the way home from family night tonight she was crying and he kept saying, "shh baby, it's ok"...

I can't take it!
We've even recently been able to capture pictures of them together.

However, as sweet as he can be to her, hugging her and saying "awwww"
 ...he can be equally torturing.
Like when she gets a spikey dinosaur to the forehead.

{That's my guess as to why she didn't cry when she got one of her shots last week anyway.}
Dinosaur hits and extra forceful hugs aside, she is starting to realize this is her big brother.
It is awesome to watch her watch him play, make funny faces and laugh when he laughs.
I can't wait to see how they interact as she gets older and bigger. When she starts talking.
When she gets him back for all of the hits and roughness. (I might regret that one)
And I wonder if she will be as outgoing as he is or if she will sit back, be a little quieter and just enjoy his free entertainment.

I highly doubt that though.

As all of my siblings and I aren't exactly the sit back and watch type of people...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

And then there are friends who are like siblings (nothing like being prego and going to their bachlorette party!)

And  Matt's family who are like siblings.

 

And cousins who are like siblings.

I love it all. I love having a big family and I couldn't imagine it any other way. We all share so many laughs, talks, experiences, and memories. We're so lucky Nate and Ava have a big loving family and hope they love it as much as Matt and I do!

I mean, really

Who remembers the SNL "Really" skits?

I think their technically "Weekend Updates" and they probably still air them...but either way I couldn't find the right video, so hopefully you remember. Just play along.

OK so...

I figured I'd start my own "really?" segment...

here we go!

Khloe and Lamar call it quits... I mean really? Really? These two have a long healthy reality TV marriage ahead if them. The tattoos speak for themselves. Really.

Lifetime had a movie on last night called Sexting in suburbia... I don't even know what it was about aside from the obvious but Really? Really?

Britney Spears got bangs. Their ok, I still like her. And my her I mean her music. I'm more concerned with the fact she shaved her head at one point. I mean really.

Holly Madison is prego. And I just found out. Really? Really? She's going to have a little Bo peep of her own. How sweet.
(This does not negate the fact that I miss the show Girls Next Door or that I didn't watch Hollys World. You can cue your own "really?" now)

A teacher got caught selling soap in exchange for "no homework passes". Really? Really?
He made a total of $24 dollars before getting caught and fined for a conflict OF interest.
The fine amount- $4,000. (this is actually more of a c'mon man than a really?)

And now for my personal Really? Today I caught up on Insanity after being behind two weeks. Really? Really? Hey at least I'm honest. My Fit Test proved, however, that I'm still diggin deep!

Pun'kin Pickin'

We finally made our yearly trip to the pumpkin patch! This is one of my favorite things to do and this year we had a +2...Ava and Matt- he's never been..I'm going to have to run this past his mom, he doesn't have the best memory ;-)

So that was a glimpse into our trip to the patch! The place that we go has such great set ups for photo ops-perfect for this mamarazzi. I was going to elaborate more on my weekend but blogger is being slow is shiznack and I don't have time for that ish! Let's just say it involved one of my bests bday celebrations, a case of wine, and a screwdriver in my tire. Done and done!

A wedding, iPhone & the best baby laugh ever.

I know, that title is pretty beefy.

So when I left off on Monday I said I would be back to recap the weekend...so it's Wednesday night/Thursday morning, nbd. You weren't exactly holding your breath for it!
Here's another "let the pictures tell the story" post. But let's be real, who doesn't love a post filled with pictures? Mmmhmmm that's what I thought! Creepers ;-)

Another good thing that came out of the wedding is that my crapberry really took a crap. In the sink. And by crap I mean it got watered on. So I obviously had to get a new phone. Anddd it had to be the ...

mmmhmm thats right! I'm like a kid on Christmas! I actually had the iPhone when it first came out way back when it was the iPhone 0. I'm already in love with this thing. And yes I know it's not healthy to be in love with "things". But when you have Instagram again and can take pictures like this:

Speaking of pictures, not only do we have an awesome babysitter but she takes awesome pictures of the littles while were out partying:
