21 Day Fix- Start Here!

If your friends with me on Facebook, if you like my BetterYou Facebook page, follow me on Instagram or Twitter...You may or may not know how excited I was for the 21 Day Fix to be released last Monday. I was not the only one who was excited...it sold in the first eight hours what they had projected for the first WEEK. And in a matter of days, the program SOLD OUT and became available through pre-order only!! That is crazypants!

What's the reason for it being such a huge hit?! One of all of the following:

This is the first thing I read and I immediately got "re-pumped' haha. I then found my calorie zone, how many containers of each food group I was allotted and read the eating plan. Ok and I also busted out the first workout! Total body cardio fix!
 
So if you're waiting for this program to arrive these will be the six steps to get started right!

1. READ THE EATING PLAN AND FOLLOW IT- all of the exercise in the world cannot undo a bad diet. Read the guide, adhere to the eating plan, and use your color-coded containers. You're only cheating yourself if you don't give it your all. You can do anything for 21 days! Even give up coffee with Coffee Mate creamer....like me....I hope! Wish me luck.

2. USE THE CALENDAR- The impulse to choose your workout according to your mood makes sense but can be detrimental to your goals. Each week is perfectly designed to get you the greatest results, so stick to the 21 Day Fix calendar.
 

3. MAKE YOUR WORKOUTS A PRIORITY- Put your workouts on your calendar, like any other appointment, and stick to it. remember that you will be a better (and happier) parent, spouce, friend, employee, or student if you make your health a priority. Don't wish for it, work for it.

4. TAKE BEFORE PICS AND MEASUREMENTS- Take your "before" pictures and record your measurements along with any other information you have. I know they aren't always easy to take but you will be SO happy you have something to compare them to in 3 weeks and going forward!

5. FIND YOUR REASON WHY- Write down the top three reasons you're committing to the next 21 days. Put them somewhere visible- on the fridge, next to your computer, or in your cookie jar- to remind yourself why you are doing this. Remember, if you change your thoughts, you change your body.

6. GET SUPPORT- Surrounding yourself with positive, supportive people to me, is the key to success.
